Glad to share that I attended recently ACR conference in Chicago this is the annual biggest rheumatologists gathering in the country, met new and old colleagues/my mentors/professors. Glad also to share there are now quite few biologics medications that recently approved for several of diseases we commonly see in our rheumatology practice. Some examples for who is interested:
Upadacitinib (rinvoq) recently approved for GCA. It’s a pill once a day !
Gazyva (anti CD20) is approved for lupus nephritis. This is new!!
Importance and a lot of emphasize talking about the new guidelines for lupus nephritis management its a milestone! Message is it is important to do: triple therapy (including Benlysta for example)
Kevzara (anti IL 6) for PMR. This is milestone progress!
